Strengthening Workers’ Access to Pertinent Nutrition Opportunities (SWAPNO)

This project is a new phase of the ready-made garment (RMG) factory workers nutrition program in Bangladesh, which ended on June 2017. Based on evidence from pilot phase, continuation and expansion of the improved hot meal program is feasible and justified. This expansion phase is designed with an aim to increase the consumption of safe and healthy diets at the workplace, contributing to workers wellbeing and build the case as a sustainable investment for businesses.

Building on lessons from the pilot phase, the RMG factories in SWAPNO project will provide workers with safe and nutritious food through improved lunches or where not possible, healthy snacks.
